Peaceful Conversations On Dreaming
And Contemplative Reflections for Wiggles: an invitation for you
Hey, friend. It’s Molly here.
I wonder…do you ever feel like you’re talking to God, but it’s silent and you just feel like you’re talking to yourself alone?
Yeah…me, too, sometimes.
That’s why I want to talk to you and to my other friends about everyday kinds of stuff where I see God at work—or wonder where He might be when I can’t see Him.

I know from experience that when I feel like I don’t hear from God or can’t see God’s hand at work in my life, when I take courage and choose to be vulnerable with my prayer ladies, together we often can discover God.
When life feels stormy, confusing, lonely…I choose to reach out and engage in relationships with women of faith who I know love me and love God.
Together, we’re able to find peace in the midst of the storms.
In this conversation, my friend Gerry and I chat through life in response to the piece I wrote, “On Dreaming,” inside the book, Closer: Spiritual Reflections for Writers & Thinkers.
Grab your journal and a cup of your favourite something and lean in. I look forward to having you at the table with Gerry and me.

While I’ve not been one of those “word-for-the-year” people, the last couple of years something’s come to mind as a theme I hope and pray for. This year is continuing with a focus of inspiration: PEACE.
And journaling as a spiritual practice to get closer to God has been something that has invited me to peace on the page and in my soul.
One of the ways I can invite you into peace is to encourage you in your journaling practice to…get your wiggles out!
What does that mean?! Have a listen to the show in which I guide you through this journaling practice and lead you into a few moments of peaceful contemplation to help you get closer to God in a time when the world is full of everything but an invitation to peace.

In this season of life, I want to intentionally offer peace. Peaceful moments. Peaceful poems. Peaceful conversations. Peaceful reflections. Peaceful encouragements. Peaceful creating of sacred experiences. Peaceful prompts to get closer to God.
Maybe today you’re feeling anxious, swept away by storms, uncertain…well, I’ve been there. I’d love to pray for you today.
God, please come now and meet with my friend. Holy Spirit, come, and increase my friend’s awareness to Your presence. I pray that she would know you.
LORD, You have put it on my friend’s heart to care about certain things, and this is good, but sometimes it feels heavy. Show her practical way she can have a positive impact on the world today, right where she is.
I pray You’d change her heart so she wants to take action. Help her to be bold and stand up in Your name, for justice, for love, for truth, for life.
Jesus, You are our friend. I pray You’d put people in my friend’s life who are like-minded so that they can encourage each other to stand up and move as You call them to do.
Thank You for hearing our prayers. In Jesus’ name. AMEN. And, Amen.

Each week, I’ll share resources to encourage your journaling practice, to help you grow closer to God with journaling.
This is for you, the woman of faith who longs for more confidence, clarity, courage, and connection, to find your voice and use it in compassionately creative ways as a beautiful arrow of hope in a dark world.
For paid subscribers, I’ll share two posts a month with guided prompts to empower you to grow on the pages of your journal and to help you journal deeper on a specific theme. Each is designed like a gentle lesson to help you develop a confident and peaceful practice with beauty in art, nature, and words to inspire your faith.
For all readers, I’ll share my own monthly reflections in response to my contemplative journey and to my favourite five questions.
I’ll also share poems I’ve written with journaling tips and conversations I’ve had with friends about spiritual reflections for writers and thinkers.
And so, you’re invited into peace. I look forward to being with you. See you along the journey.
Molly
Thank you for your peaceful presence as you join me along this journey.
May you draw closer to God today.
