Day 99 - December 30th - a special invitation to peace
Scripture:
Read Colossians 4.
Prayer:
Thank you, God, that you are listening to my prayers. Help me to be more aware of your presence every day. I pray that we could cultivate a heart of prayer in me. I want to be talking to you in prayer about everything. I want to pray about what’s happening in the world around me, in the lives of people I know and love–and in the lives of people I’ve never met on the other side of the world. I’m so grateful for the grace you’ve given me to be a person of prayer and someone who always has a word of kindness and encouragement to share.
Invitation:
I want to invite you to spend a moment simply noticing anything else that is on your heart–especially if it’s something from today’s reading and time of prayer. Lift this up to God in faith.
Gratitude:
In closing, pause to thank God for how he’s at work in your heart and life. Acknowledge his presence with you during your time of prayer today.
In Jesus’ name. Let it be so. Thank you, LORD. Amen.
