Day 100 - December 31st - a special invitation to peace

Scripture:

Read Colossians.

Prayer:

Thank you, God, that your words are available to us through this book. As I reflect on how you’ve met me through my time praying from your Word over these past 100 days, I feel [EMOTION]. God, would you meet me in this feeling? Increase my awareness to your presence as I continue to sit in these daily moments with you.

You have been faithful to meet with me in these moments through Colossians. I have glimpsed your hand at work answering my prayers as I read and prayed your Word. As I pause here for a moment, would you remind me of the profound and tiny ways I’ve encountered you in this season?

As I am at the end of this 100 days, I am here and I continue to long for more of you. What do you have in store for me in the next 100 days? In the next year? Show me how our relationship has developed. Show me how you’ve transformed my heart over the last 100 days of prayer.

As I look ahead to whatever you have next, I lift up my future times in prayer to you. Help me to be intentional to set aside time to be with you in prayer. Protect my heart, mind, body, and soul as I move toward You in prayer.

Thank you, LORD, that you’re with me and for me.

Invitation:

I want to invite you to spend a moment simply noticing anything else that is on your heart–especially if it’s something from today’s reading and time of prayer. Lift this up to God in faith.

Gratitude:

In closing, pause to thank God for how he’s at work in your heart and life. Acknowledge his presence with you during your time of prayer today.

In Jesus’ name. Let it be so. Thank you, LORD. Amen.
